This site contains the development of a complete explanation of the system intended for 3rd Edition. For several years there have been attempts by dozens of sholaris around the world to make the system playable for their group. We hope to develope a system that is faithful to the designers intent, fully explains the workings of Isho in game play, and can be understood by all players.

To play Jorune, you will generate a character - a person who was born on this fascinating world, who knows what every child who grows up on this world would know, who has a history, dreams, fears and goals that are consistenent withing the framework of the multi-cultural world as presented in the three editions of the game.
This tutorial is divided into several sections for faster page loading.

The System

Jorune was published with four systems (1st edition, two versions of 2nd Edition, and 3rd Edition), which included multiple dice, d100/percentile and d20 systems. This revision is based upon the d20 system published in 2nd and 3rd Editions, conversations with the world designer regarding a die pool system for Isho use, and a variety of other d20 gaming systems, which have established conventions shared by many role playing games.
In addition to officially published systems, Jorune has been adapted for play with GURPS (3d6), HERO (3d6), PLUS (multiple d6), BRPS (d100/percentile), FUDGE (descriptive variant) and Alternity (modified d20) gaming systems. Where these conversions have been made available on the web, the links will be provided.
Several sample characters are provided for you to see use as pregenerated characters in a beginning campaign. Partially generated characers are provided to allow you to finish the character to your own liking and get into a Jorune campaign immediately. The samples for this section are human only -- non-human characters are also available after the differences between the humans, human mutations and non-human player characters.
This version of rules for Jorune allow more player races than the official materials, so you will be getting material that has not been previously published.
